We raided our craft box for materials to make this last minute geometrical style Mother’s Day card, although it could be used any time during the year when you want to send hugs and kisses to your mom!
Materials required: One 8 inch (20cm) square white card, two squares of colored card, a white doily, a large circle, large stamped flower for the centre, a brad, stick on pearls, three colors of hemp twine, die cut letters and double sided tape.
The flower was stamped in pastel colors on water color paper and teamed with a die cut doily and a die cut circle, then fixed together with a dark maroon brad. A dark pink square was layered onto a slightly larger turquoise green square with double side tape. Three different types of twine* were then wrapped around each corner and fixed in place with tape, before being attached to the card front. The circle design was then attached, die cut letters were used for the simple message and the design was finished with some stick on pearls and some doodling with a pen.
*Twines used were pale pink and white 1mm bakers twine, Cotton Candy 1mm hemp metallic bakers twine and 1mm teal hemp cord.
