The instructions were to make a rustic, country feel wedding card, using teal hemp twine – and by
the end of the month, please! This gate fold card is the result.
The papers used have a sheen on them and are in shades of cream and light beige, with one
paper having a small damask pattern to compliment the other one, which is striped. The edges
were shaded in brown ink to give a rustic look. The hearts were die cut in shiny embossed teal
colored paper and thin craft cork, while the cream bunting was also die cut. The horseshoes and
cacti were stamped in brown.
The damask patterned paper was used for the centre inside panel and brown craft card stamped
with horseshoes and tiny sprays of flowers was used for the side panels. Teal colored hemp twine
was used for tying the card together. A die cut shape was included for writing a personal message
of congratulations inside the card.
The card was tied together with two lengths of teal hemp twine, which were attached to a punched
hole each side of the gate fold. The twine was long enough to wrap loosely around the card and
tie in a bow at the back, still allowing the card to stand up, or tied at the front in a longer flowing
