What is the difference between hemp twine and cord?
The difference is in how they are made. Hemp twine is made with less strands of fiber than cord and may be uneven in thickness and have fly aways. Hemp cord is round and even in thickness throughout the strand with no flyaways making it the best choice for high quality macrame jewelry.
What does 10lb, 20lb, 48lb mean?
These numbers represent the breaking strength of the cord or twine, basically how much weight it can withstand before snapping. if you are making jewelry you do not need to be concerned with breaking strength only thickness which is measured in mm.
Are your products safe for children, babies, pets?All of our hemp twine and cords (including glow in the dark), bamboo and organic cotton products are dyed with eco friendly, chemical free dye’s that are tested safe for babies and animals. The dye is color fast so it will not rub off on your skin. Waxed cotton cords, nylon, leather and other man made materials however may be coated with chemical wax and may not be suitable for children. Just ask if you have any questions about what product will work best for your project.
Do you offer wholesale?
We are a discount bead store offering low prices and bulk lots of hemp cords and twine. We do not have a wholesale program at this time but you can contact us if you are wanting something specific, we can do bulk orders of twine and cord, beads and other supplies will depend on the item.

When will my order ship?
We ship orders out every day 6 days a week ( not Sunday). Your order will ship within 24hrs of payment received. When your order ships you will receive a shipped notice via email with a tracking number.
How will my order ship?
Most orders ship by the United States Postal service due to offering the lowest shipping rate for small packets. If you prefer UPS or FEDEX please contact us prior to ordering so we can provide you with an invoice to pay for the corrected shipping cost. If you have an account number you would like us to use please put in a note with the order and we will refund the shipping paid.
Do you ship Worldwide?
Hemp Beadery ships worldwide, flat rate shipping rates can be viewed in the cart, select your country from the drop down menu. The default method is First Class for orders weighing under 1lb but you can upgrade to Priority or Express if you need faster service. Heavy items or combined orders weighing over 1lb will ship Priority. If you prefer Fed Ex or UPS please contact us to arrange shipment.
How can I track my package and when will it arrive?
For tracking updates sent to your phone visit www.usps.com and enter the tracking number provided by email into the tracking update box. Most packages ship by Postal Service, First Class mail does not come with any guarantee of delivery date or signature of delivery. International packages shipped by First Class Post are scanned in USA but there will be no tracking updates until the package clears customs and arrives in your country. There is no guarantee of any delivery date International unless you paid for Express 1-2 Day delivery. A package is not considered lost until 3 weeks USA or 8 weeks International has passed. If your package has not arrived by this time please contact us to file an Insurance claim. All packages are insured at no extra cost to you but we cannot know when your package will arrive, we can only see the same information you can on the USPS.com website.
Where are you located – do you have a store I can visit?
We are located in Colorado, USA and sell online only. Sorry we do not have a location customers can visit – we closed our brick and mortar store in 2012.
Do You Accept Returns?
We will accept any item back for refund up to 14 days from date of delivery. Customer is responsible for all return shipping costs. We recommend insuring packages as we are not responsible for any loss or damage during transit. Items must be returned to us in same condition received. Products that are used, cut, unravelled, have torn packaging or cannot be resold due to poor condition will be returned to sender. Items that are returned without prior notice after 14 days may be returned to seller or incur a 20% restock fee. Please contact us before returning any item so we are aware it is on route and to ensure you will be refunded. We are not responsible for any loss during transit or return shipping fees.
All of our hemp jewelry is handmade to your specific choice of color, length, type of beads, fastenings, etc, after you check out. We regret we are unable to accept the return of custom handmade jewelry, unless we have made an error.
My order shows the wrong shipping address what do i do?
If the order shows wrong shipping address after checking out please let us know immediately the correct address you want it shipped to via email. You do not need to cancel and make a new order. If the order has shipped we will refund (cost of goods only) when the package returns back to us. We are not responsible to track down or replace any package shipped to a wrong address supplied by customer.
What is your return policy for hemp and natural fibers?
Due to the manufacturing process twine and cords may have tie knots, vary in color and thickness, have fly aways, knotty bits or a natural smell. Imperfections are charactersitic of natural fibers and are not considered faulty. We aim to accurately represent all of our products, but what you receive may appear slightly different from that shown in photo due to shades of color, thickness, length etc varying between different batches.
We will accept for return any twine or cord in the same condition recieved. Twine or cord that has been unravelled, cut or used is non returnable. If you are not sure what product is right for your project please ask us before purchasing.
My order is incomplete / item arrived broken what will you do?
If there is a problem with your order upon arrival please let us know right away so we can correct any issue. In the rare case that it happens missing or broken items will be reshipped or refunded at no cost to you. Please upload a photo to show what you received so we can resolve the issue quickly.
If the right item was sent but you are not happy with it you have the option to return it for a refund. Customer service is our priority but we are not responsible to replace or refund unless item was broken in transit, is significantly not as described ( for example you ordered red and we shipped blue ) or when an item is returned to us in same condition received.
